This policy covers two different things, and they are kept separate on purpose because they handle data differently:
Every calculator on this site computes in your browser. The figures you type — income, loan balances, share prices, immigration points — are not transmitted to us, are not stored on our servers, and are not associated with you. Values placed in a shareable link are encoded in the URL itself; they leave your browser only if you choose to share that link.
This site displays advertising served by Google AdSense (publisher ID ca-pub-3261418352127367). Google and its partners act as third-party vendors and use cookies — including the DoubleClick cookie — to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
Third-party vendors, including Google, may use these cookies to serve personalised or non-personalised advertising. Google's use of advertising cookies is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu. Opting out does not remove advertising; it makes the advertising you see non-personalised.
This site uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-Q9JESYMLQX) to understand which pages are visited and how people arrive. It records pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and referring site. It does not record the figures you enter into a calculator. You can prevent collection with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, the lawful basis for advertising and analytics cookies is your consent, collected through a consent management platform before those cookies are set; the lawful basis for operating the site itself is our legitimate interest in providing it. You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time.
Under the CCPA, California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information. Use of advertising cookies by third-party vendors may constitute "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising; the opt-out links in section A2 exercise that right.
To exercise any of these rights, email the address in section C. We do not hold an account for you, so a request generally concerns the cookies your own browser holds — which you can also clear yourself at any time.
We keep no server-side record of your visit. Retention of analytics and advertising data is governed by Google as the processor of that data, under the policies linked above.
This site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
This section explains what information the BC PNP Calculator app ("the app") handles on iPhone, iPad and Android, and what the advertising partner built into the app collects. Part A does not apply to the app. Effective date: 2026-10-08.

The app is free and shows ads from Google AdMob: a banner on the input screen and, from time to time, a full-screen ad after you calculate a score. Ads are loaded and shown by Google's Mobile Ads SDK, which is part of the app.
When ads are requested, Google's SDK may collect:
Google uses this data to show and measure ads, for analytics and to prevent fraud. We do not receive this data in a form that identifies you, and we do not combine it with your calculator answers, which never leave your device. How Google uses information from apps that use its services is explained at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Where the law requires consent for personalised advertising (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), the app uses Google's User Messaging Platform to show a consent form before ads are loaded. You can review or change your choice at any time with the "Privacy choices" button at the end of the form; the button appears where such a choice applies.
On iPhone and iPad the app does not track you. It never asks for App Tracking Transparency permission and never accesses the device advertising identifier (IDFA). Ads are still shown; on iOS they are not targeted using data collected from other companies' apps or websites.
On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in the system settings (Settings > Privacy > Ads, or Settings > Google > Ads, depending on the device).
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, contact us at the address above.
We do not hold any data about you on our servers. Your answers stay on your device until you clear them or uninstall the app. Data collected by Google's SDK is retained and deleted under Google's own policies.
All network traffic from the app (ads and consent) uses encrypted HTTPS connections provided by the operating system and Google's SDK.
This app is not affiliated with the Government of British Columbia or the Government of Canada. Scoring rules come from the WelcomeBC Skills Immigration Program Guide (https://www.welcomebc.ca). Your score is an estimate; only the official BC PNP system decides your registration score.
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above and, for the app, posted within the app or on its App Store listing.
